Ranking methodology

The list includes companies where foreign ownership exceeds 50%. They are ranked by total revenue generated in 2020 and the total revenue includes data from all Russian divisions of a foreign company.

Due to major differences from the perspective of business and accounting, the ranking does not take include banks, insurance, leasing, investment and other financial organizations or companies whose activities are limited to asset management.

The revenue estimates were based on information provided officially by the companies, their annual reports with the consolidated revenue of Russian assets, and data from the SPARK-Interfax.

In the absence of official information, estimates were based on data about the financial state of the parent company and its divisions. Revenue is expressed in rubles, while revenue in other currencies is recalculated at average exchange rates for 2020.
